Pay: $ 32,681– $36,023
Summary Objective: Under occasional supervision, performs general administrative, clerical, and customer service functions in support of the County Finance Department. Serves as receptionist for the Finance Department, providing courteous and professional assistance to the public, County employees, elected officials, and outside agencies. Performs accounts receivable processing, account reconciliations, data entry, record maintenance, invoicing, reporting, and other financial and administrative duties. Work requires accuracy, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Serves as receptionist for the Finance Department by answering the Finance Department’s main telephone line; provides information to callers and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
· Maintains filing systems for financial and administrative records.
· Composes, prepares, types, copies, files, and distributes correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents including but not limited to Accounts Receivables.
· Processes incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, preparing, and distributing correspondence.
· Maintains confidentiality of financial, personnel, and other sensitive information.
· Performs data entry into spreadsheet applications and County financial software and balances reports.
· Assists the Accounts Payable Clerk, Budget Analyst, and other Finance Department staff as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· One (1) to three (3) years of experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, administrative support, or related work; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, telephones, calculators, and other standard office equipment. Work is generally performed in an office environment and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. The employee must exercise discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive financial and personnel information. Frequent interaction with County employees, elected officials, vendors, outside agencies, and the general public is required.
